I thought it was time to have a bit of fun. So, I registered with Slideshare and compiled a story called Social Media In Construction. It conveys a straightforward message for those Architects, Builders, Surveyors and others in construction-related companies. Whether you specialise in Damp Proofing or you erect fencing you need to have a Plan of Action. The plan will keep you focussed and save you time and unnecessary effort.

In your efforts to generate new clients for your construction company using this SlideShare may help. Time yourself and see how long it takes to complete. Then,  get your message out into the marketplace. Developing a Plan of Action (follow the link) does not need to be complicated but you will need to think about the details carefully. This exercise will help you to clarify the various aspects of your marketing activity. Remember, Social Media is not the only route to use for marketing your company. It is a ‘part’ of your overall plan of action.

Remember Social Media is only a part of your overall Marketing activity.  It needs to fit in with your complete marketing strategy including direct mail, using the telephone and face to face meetings.
